Pursuing stability and a promising future, husband and wife Thomaso and Angela Stedile leave their small business behind in the town of Rovereto/Italy. The manufacturing and commerce of chairs are replaced by a long trip across de Atlantic Ocean to Southern Brazil.
The journey to Brazil that changed the family’s destiny takes exactly 36 days. The Stediles arrives, with little Francesco and two other sons, in Nova Trento, a small town in Serra Gaúcha, in Rio Grande do Sul State. And at the new address, artisanship is also present: the couple starts to work with farming.
It is in the town of Nova Trento/Serra Gaúcha that Thomaso and Angela, aware of the rising Market demand, retake their business of chair manufacturing. Francesco has 12 children with his wife Maria Zili. Ferdinando, the youngest, is the one who takes over the chair manufacturing that have always been in his blood.
In São Marcos, Rio Grande do Sul State, Ferdinando marries Geselmina Manosso, and they both manage the Family business. They have five children, among them, the oldest, Remy Stedile.
Remy Stedile and Adélia Prebianca get married and have four children: Rosmar, Rudimar, Rudinei and Elizete. They are the ones that, very early in their lives, carry on the dream of the Stediles. Afterall, they grew up following the steps of their father, an entrepreneur.
Remy opens in São Marcos, Rio Grande do Sul State, his chair factory named Stedile Companhia LTDA and it doesn’t take long until his sons start helping with all the work.
The Stedile family reinforce, once more, that the concept of materialization of projects is something that runs in their veins: they start a new line of outdoor furniture and become the biggest Brazilian industry in this segment.
Following the entrepreneur victorious trajectory of past generations, the three brothers – Rosmar, Rudimar and Rudinei – start their own furniture company.
