A nursery with a rustic theme—but with a modern twist!

The couple has a deep connection to country life and horses, and they wanted to welcome their son into a space that reflects their family's story.

With that in mind, they requested not only this theme but also a wooden toy horse as part of the décor.

Another important request was to incorporate the same wood tones already used throughout the home and to include a dresser.

Every aspect of the project was inspired by this concept. Decorative details, carved elements, the choice of furniture, colors, and finishes were all carefully selected to reinforce the theme.

Blending rustic charm with contemporary design, the nursery welcomes the newest member of the family with elements that celebrate the couple's history.

To add a touch of sophistication to this traditionally rustic theme, we introduced modern design elements throughout the space.

Several details help evoke the atmosphere of a countryside home, such as the wooden slat wall and the carved letter "A"—for Alexandre—in a custom-designed typeface.

We also designed a custom horse silhouette, which was hand-carved into the panel above the daybed shelf.

The material palette features abundant natural wood in the crib and daybed, beige paneling above the changing station, and gray cabinetry accented with wooden shelves and fronts.

To reinforce the connection with nature, the bedding incorporates green details that harmonize beautifully with the rest of the design.
